Raising & Lowering

Lifting a structure to add or replace a foundation, correct settling, or clear a flood line — then setting it back down level. Our unified hydraulic jacking system raises a building evenly at every point, which is why the plaster stays on the walls.

Why raise a structure

Common reasons we get the call

  • Adding a basement for more room under an existing house
  • Deepening a crawl space
  • Replacing a foundation that's cracking or sinking
  • Lifting above a flood line

Three ways to do it

Matched to your site and budget

  1. Lift and crib

We raise the structure straight up and crib it off. Your excavation and concrete crews work underneath, and when the new basement or foundation is ready, we lower it back down onto it.

  2. Roll it aside

We move the building to one side of the lot, the excavation and cement work happens in the open, then we roll it back over and set it on the new foundation.

  3. Support in place

No lift at all — we support the structure where it sits while the ground beneath is dug out to the depth you need.

We'll walk the job with you and help you pick the method that fits.
