Structural moving · Boise & the Treasure Valley

Better equipment.
Cleaner moves.

Western States Movers designs and builds its own moving equipment, so structures arrive level, intact, and on schedule — from routine house moves to the historic buildings other movers turn down. Based in Nampa, serving Boise and the Treasure Valley — and the wider Mountain West — since 1972.

The difference

Built in our own shop. Proven on every move.

Western States designs and fabricates its own moving equipment in-house, including remote wireless dollies that keep a structure dead-level over uneven ground, so buildings arrive without the cracking and stress that come from lesser gear. When a move needs a tool that doesn't exist yet, we build it. That's how we take on the jobs other movers pass on, and why the routine ones go smoother.

Where we work

Based in Nampa. At home across the Treasure Valley.

Our yard and shop are in Nampa, so most of the valley is a short haul: we move houses and buildings in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Star, and Middleton, and handle the permits and traffic control that come with moving a structure down a public road. For larger or more unusual jobs, we travel the Mountain West — Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, and beyond.

  • I call Kenny the (mad scientist of house movers. He can figure anything out!) His son Shawn is a let’s get it done kind of guy! Both extremely safety conscious My experience is they do what the say they are going to do!

  • Western State movers did a good job for me at a reasonable price. I felt I could trust Ken with a handshake as much or more than someone else’s signature

  • Kenny and his team at Western States Movers have relocated over a dozen structures for us during the last 15 years. His unique and professional approach to each individual move, from the original route planning to the final set down, we were always satisfied with his company. It’s always been remarkable to see the engineering skills that Kenny applies to each and every project. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, we would gladly rate him and his company higher!
