Our Story

Three generations of moving buildings

Kenny Pfeifer grew up in the house-moving business, working for his father's company before founding Western States Movers in 1972. More than fifty years later, his son Shawn runs the moves, with Kenny, his wife Kris, and daughter Tammy all part of the business. The trade has passed from one generation to the next, along with the equipment, the methods, and the standard for how a move gets done.

What that means for your move

Fifty years in one trade builds things you can't shortcut: the judgment to spot a problem before it happens, the methods that only come from having done it, and equipment refined move after move. When Western States takes your job, that experience comes with it. Three generations of getting structures where they need to go, intact.
